Pearl was born in early 2004, when designers Beth Mikkelson and Cris Roberts renewed a partnership established while working at the fashion house Zambesi.
Having worked with women of all ages and sizes, Beth and Cris developed a designer clothing brand that is truly customer led- in fact one of their favourite pieces, the 'Goddess' top (click here to view) was designed at very short notice for Anita McNaught when she was to present Dames Malvina Major and Kiri Te Kanawa at the New Zealand Opera, and has since become a staple of the Pearl collection.
