Pearl was founded in 2003 by fashion industry insiders, Cris Roberts and Beth Mikkelson. Initially they opened an elegant salon space in Grey Lynn, Auckland, where they could share their passion for styling and service in a retail environment. Subsequently, they have opened stores in Wellington and Newmarket and have now moved the Grey Lynn store to Rose Rd in Ponsonby, which also houses the design studio.

Pearl‘s signature style of draping and wrapping allows garments to flatter women of all shapes and sizes, and each piece is designed using the finest fabrics of the season. Pearl also carries a carefully edited selection of local and international clothing and accessory ranges.

Cris Roberts says; “The vision for Pearl has always been to provide our customers with an amazing in-store experience, almost like creating a women’s dress up box where they can come in, take their time browsing and get well-informed style guidance from our retail staff.” A visit to one of Pearl’s retail salons will provide customers with superior service in elegant and relaxed surroundings.
